About · Senior Product Designer, Hyderabad, India

Akshay KatkadeEnterprise products where people decide under pressure, and the system behind the screen matters more than the screen.

I have 8+ years in enterprise and B2B SaaS design: ADP's payroll service tools, Shell's supply-chain planning through IBM iX, a design system for a Swiss private bank, and a 0→1 developer platform at ValueLabs. Before that, Infosys. My design foundation is from the National Institute of Design, which shaped how I approach both digital and physical experiences.

My work sits where users decide under time pressure, work through a complicated process, or handle exceptions. I look at the whole system: user goals, information architecture, business rules, operational reality and technical limits. Then I design patterns that scale instead of one-off screens.

I work closely with product managers, solution architects and developers. A lot of the job is finding out what a platform can actually build, then holding quality inside that limit.

(05) Direction

Where I'm headed

This is direction, not history. I want more ownership of product direction and discovery on complex, high-impact products, alongside strong product, engineering and research partners: the kind of work Lead, Principal and Staff roles carry. I want to grow my B2C product understanding next to my enterprise depth, keep mentoring designers, and apply AI carefully to how products and design teams work.

(06) Beyond the interface

Other frequencies.

Work outside the enterprise grid. The concepts below are academic or competition projects, not shipped client work.

Music production

Rudraz Music

I compose and produce music independently as Rudraz Music. It's the same loop as product work: an idea, many iterations, and the discipline to call something finished.
